EFS Welcomes Dirk Nowitzki

Educational First Steps (EFS) proudly announces the benefit, “An Evening with the Great Nowitzki,” will take place on Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at The Ritz Carlton, Dallas. The event features NBA legend and local icon Dirk Nowitzki of the Dallas Mavericks and supports the mission of EFS to create and support high-quality early learning environments that ignite the minds of children from birth to age five in North Texas.

Nowitzki is regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time and the highest-scoring foreign-born player in the history of the NBA. Over his career, he has earned some of the NBA’s highest honors, including an NBA championship, an NBA Most Valuable Player award, and 14 NBA All-Star appearances. 

Nowitzki has been a difference maker off the court as well, and in 2007, the NBA honored him with the NBA Community Assist Award in recognition of his outstanding efforts in the community and for his ongoing philanthropic work. Through the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation, Nowitzki aims to create positive experiences for children worldwide by supporting causes that promote children’s well-being, health, and education.
