Volunteer

Educational First Steps strives to create and support high-quality early learning environments that ignite the minds of children from birth to age five. By volunteering with EFS, you are helping further our mission by supporting the small businesses and childcare centers we partner with throughout North Texas. We welcome you to take a moment and look over our various volunteer opportunities below.

Please note, all adult volunteers will be required to undergo a background check prior to their initial volunteer date and all volunteers must adhere to the COVID-19 policies put in place by the center they will be volunteering at. Thank you for your support!

Groups/Organizations: Lead children in highly-engaging activities to help them build gross-motor skills and enhance learning through classroom STEM and/or reading lessons.

Groups/Organizations also help clean and organize classrooms in preparation for a center’s accreditation visit.

Corporate Groups: Revitalize outdoor learning areas, such as playgrounds and gardens with your colleagues during the week or on weekends.

Corporate Groups may also lead supply drives at their offices and stuff Educational First Steps backpacks for children in our partner centers. Click here for the list of supplies needed.

Culture Club Volunteer: We are excited for Culture Club to start back up in September 2022. This opportunity is great for individuals interested in interacting with children in creative ways by reading books and reinforcing learning through hands-on activities, such as making pancakes and yoga
