Educational First Steps proudly hosts three major events each year consisting of two fundraisers in Dallas and Fort Worth in addition to our highly celebrated annual conference on early childhood education.
On January 28, 2020, in support of its Dallas County operations, Educational First Steps welcomed New York Times best-selling author of Educated: A Memoir for An Evening with Tara Westover. Nearly 500 fans and supporters attended the widely acclaimed event, and EFS experienced a record day of giving. This year, Educational First Steps celebrated its 30th anniversary at the 2020 Annual Early Childhood Conference, which took place on January 25, 2020 at the Las Colinas Convention Center in Irving, Texas. Over 600 local early educators were in attendance for an event that offers a full day of professional development training courses that educate, equip, and empower educators with tools and resources for success in their school and classrooms. Most recently, Educational First Steps announced that in light of the current COVID-19 pandemic that its annual Fort Worth Fundraiser, which this year was to be An Evening with Wendy Mogel on April 21, 2020, was cancelled.
