COVID-19 has devasted our community, and among those hardest hits are childcare providers in our backyard.  They are heroes on the frontlines, providing crucial care to the children of essential workers and delivering the highest quality educational experience.  During this time of considerable uncertainty and difficulty, the heroic displays exhibited by childcare providers are nothing short of extraordinary. 

Recovery is crucial for childcare to ensure children in our community continue to have access to high-quality, early learning environments that prepare them for school and life success.

Because of support from generous individual donors, foundations and corporations – $350,000 in relief funding has been awarded to quality rated childcare providers (center and home-based) in North Texas, thus far.

I was determined to maintain my staff.

For 28 years in the childcare industry, I had never stepped up to a challenge this monstrous. On April 23, I nervously but faithfully ran payroll. On the same day, before checks were issued, I received a grant from Educational First Steps and Rainwater Charitable Foundation!

Thank you EFS, RCF, and additional donors for fulling a financial survival wish that I could not access anywhere else. You have made it possible for Creative Steps Academy to continue to serve our community.
