Kym Shaw Day, M.Ed.

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Kym Shaw Day knows firsthand the difference that instilling a love of learning in children at an early age can make. This knowledge attracted her to Educational First Steps in 2005, where she brought 20 years of experience in early childhood education and administration. As Director of Strategic Partnerships, Kym seeks to share with teachers who care for at-risk children the vital job they perform every day in helping children reach their full potential. Her greatest sense of accomplishment comes from helping centers in the most impoverished areas of Tarrant County earn accreditation.

Kym holds a Master’s in Early Childhood Development from Stephen F. Austin University, a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the University of Phoenix and an Associates of Arts in Teaching in Early Childhood and Administration from Collin County Community College.
