Dallas County Training Dates

To sign up for any of the classes below, click on the date and complete the registration form. All Dallas County training sessions will be held at the Educational First Steps Early Learning Center at 2815 Gaston Ave., Dallas, TX 75226. Training is free for Affiliated Partner Centers, otherwise trainings will be $15.00 per person, per training.  To learn more, contact us online or call 214-824-7940.

 

Title: Learning Environments

Date of Training: Tuesday, October 3, 2017

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Training Description: A purposefully arranged learning environment has a substantial effect on the ability to successfully manage a classroom. This training will provide information on how to create a beneficial learning environment.

 

Title: Dramatic Play/Music

Date of Training: Thursday, October 5, 2017

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Training Description: During this training, participants will understand the versatility of dramatic play, as well as how to encourage and utilize music in the classroom.

 

Title: (Directors) Non-Discrimination

Date of Training: Wednesday, October 11, 2017

Time: 12:00pm to 1:30pm

Training Description: This training will inform participants of the non-discrimination laws, which state that people cannot be discriminated against because of their gender, race, religion, age, or sexual orientation.

 

Title: Sensory Science

Date of Training: Tuesday, October 17, 2017

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Training Description: Science and sensory experiences offer children the opportunity to learn and understand best from what they can see, touch, feel, and manipulate. This training will provide participants with tools to enhance their science and sensory experiences in their classrooms.

 

Title: Maintaining Quality

Date of Training: Thursday, October 19, 2017

Time: 12:00pm to 2:00pm

Training Description: Maintenance is apart of our daily lives and early childhood education is no different. This training will review the accreditation standards as well as provide tools to assist with maintaining a high quality environment for our children.
